An opportunity for students to meet and connect with the URI section of the Society of Women Engineers.
My name is Jenna Taormina and I am currently the Outreach Chair of the University of Rhode Island section's Society of Women Engineers. We are holding our SWENext club, Little SWEsters, again this semester. It is a way for students to collaborate with collegiate members of the Society of Women Engineers and connect with other SWENexters to get hands-on experience with STEM fields. For more information on SWENext, you can visit this page: https://swe.org/k-12-outreach/youth-programs/
Our next event will be taking place on Saturday, October 26, at the University of Rhode Island. We are looking to recruit girls who are interested in participating in our SWENext club. Our club is open to girls ages 11-15 (6th-9th grade) since that will be the age group our activities will be targeted towards. Signing up for the event is free and easy, it just requires filling out a small form. There is also no commitment to attend future events once signing up for the first event! The link to our webpage about our SWENext club, our first event, and the sign-up form can be found at: https://web.uri.edu/swe/little-swester
We hope to see you there!
